DeadCore

DeadCore originally launched on October 17, 2014 and received minor bug-fix patches in late 2014 and mid-2015, after which the original game went quiet for nearly a decade. On April 9, 2025, the reunited 5 Bits Games team announced DeadCore Redux — a full remaster featuring revamped graphics, audio, UI, a brand-new story level, a new ranking system, and gamepad support. The team spent 2025 building toward its release, including demo updates and localization additions. DeadCore Redux launched on January 15, 2026. In the launch post for Redux, the developer addressed what comes next: they planned a brief recovery break, then would continue fixing bugs and polishing minor content. They also mentioned having "some ideas regarding additional content" or even a new game project, but explicitly tied any such plans to Redux's sales performance. This is a conditional, speculative statement — not an announcement of committed future content. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store, no roadmap has been published, and no specific future content has been formally announced. The developer's post-launch communication amounts to standard post-release maintenance intentions, not a content commitment. The game launched as a complete, polished package and the content that was promised during development (the new level, revamped systems, etc.) has all shipped.
