The developer (SchmidtGames) has been working on a major "Rebirth Update" (version 2.0), described as the most significant transformation in the game's history — a complete overhaul bringing a new loadout system, dynamic weather and lighting, redesigned UI, overhauled combat animations, and new map layouts. The developer was communicating actively in early 2026: a detailed reveal post on February 3, 2026 outlined all the major features planned for 2.0, followed by a feature showcase on February 11, 2026, a patch note and thank-you post on February 4, 2026, and finally a status update on February 25, 2026 confirming the focus had shifted to optimization and polishing ahead of the 2.0 release.
