Deceive Inc.

Deceive Inc. launched on March 21, 2023 and received a substantial run of post-launch content under Sweet Bandits Studios — four paid catalog DLCs, a series of major updates, and regular feature patches. The last major content update, Scoundrels and Sentinels, shipped on October 31, 2024. After Sweet Bandits closed, publisher Tripwire Presents stepped in. On July 16, 2026, Tripwire published an official post titled "The Future of Deceive Inc." [NEWS-1] explaining that they are rebuilding the game's backend to support community-hosted dedicated servers and ensure the game remains playable long-term. Crucially, that post sets clear expectations: Tripwire's priority is completing the infrastructure migration, and they explicitly have "very little room to incorporate extra feedback or requests while this work is underway." No new gameplay content — no new agents, maps, catalogs, or expansions — is announced or implied. Tripwire followed through on that work: a public beta opened on August 26, 2026 [NEWS-4], and on September 8, 2026, they attempted a live rollout of the dedicated server backend [NEWS-3]. A follow-up on September 9, 2026 [NEWS-2] described a rollback due to technical issues and outlined the next steps toward a successful migration, with a new rollout date targeting the middle of the following week. This is active infrastructure maintenance work, not new content development. All four catalog DLCs are released [DLC-1 through DLC-4], no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, and no future content has been announced. The game's content is complete as of October 31, 2024, and Tripwire's current work is focused solely on keeping the existing game running through a backend overhaul and community server support.
