Klaus Veen's Treason launched on January 31, 2023 as a free-to-play multiplayer party shooter and has received a steady stream of major updates ever since. Tomorrow Software has shipped 11 numbered major updates since launch, covering new player roles, a full class system, Steam Achievements, friend lobbies, ability loadout customization, Steam Leaderboards, a new Linux port, new maps, weapons, and more. The most recent major update (Update #11) shipped on December 12, 2025, followed by a hotfix on December 16, 2025. In the Update #11 post, the developer explicitly stated: "We promise to keep updating the game with more exciting stuff in 2026!"
As of today (September 24, 2026), the news scan does not show a 2026 update yet, but the gap between major updates has historically ranged from about 2 months to as long as 8 months (Update #9 in December 2024 to Update #10 in August 2025). The developer's explicit commitment to 2026 content — made as recently as December 2025 — is the most current statement about the game's future, and that promise has not been walked back or superseded by any subsequent communication. The game is not complete; Tomorrow Software has made clear that more content is on the way.

About this game
At the start of each round, players must uncover the Don's killer by finding Clues. Delivering enough Clues to the Clue Processing Unit reveals a Traitor. Traitors conspire against the Innocents, Detective, and Doctor. Traitors win by eliminating all Innocents, while Innocents win by identifying and eliminating the Traitors.

Slim Class: Quick but weak.- Adrenaline - Boosts movement speed temporarily
- HP: 80
- Movement Speed: +10%
- Damage Bonus: Medium and Shotgun ammo deal 15% more damage
- Heal - Restores 25 HP
