Evaluation
December 1914 is a short (~30 minute), self-contained narrative game about the Christmas Eve Truce of World War I. It launched on February 23–24, 2023. The store description explicitly describes the game as having a single ending and a fixed set of content (four mini-games, 52 illustrations), consistent with a complete, finished product.
On April 4, 2023, the developer announced the game would transition to free-to-play on April 11, 2023, citing charitable goals as the motivation. While the developer mentioned the possibility of future DLC in that post ("In the future, we may release DLCs"), this was a vague, speculative statement with no named content, no roadmap, and no follow-up communication. There have been no DLC listings on the store and no further developer posts since April 2023. Given the game's minimal scope, its design as a finished single-experience product, and over three years of silence since that speculative mention, the offhand DLC remark does not constitute a credible outstanding commitment.
The last developer communication was on April 4, 2023. No further updates, patches, or announcements have been made since then. The game functions as a complete, standalone experience and was designed as such from the outset.

There is a sanity meter in the game, which will change based on the soldier's actions. For example, killing someone will lower the sanity value. The sanity value may also decrease after completing a mission. When the sanity value is too low, the player's perspective will change, colors will fade, and vision will become distorted. Supplies and thoughts of loved ones at night can restore the soldier's sanity.Christmas Eve
