Deer Man is a short interactive storytelling experience that launched on April 15, 2016. In the weeks following launch, the developer shipped language support, bug fixes, and the official soundtrack DLC (released May 2, 2016), completing the post-launch update plan they announced on April 16, 2016.
By February 2018, the developer's attention had shifted entirely to their next project, as they posted asking players for feedback to inform that new game. Then in February 2019, the developer announced the release of Ellen — their follow-up title — and explicitly thanked Deer Man players for "enabling" them to create it. This post is a clear farewell to Deer Man as an active project.
All DLC (the soundtrack) has been released. The developer has moved on to other projects and made no mention of any future content for Deer Man. The game launched as a self-contained short experience and is complete.
