Dex launched in May 2015 and received active post-launch support through its "Enhanced Version" update in October 2015, followed by a steady stream of patches and localization updates through 2016–2019. The most substantial post-launch content was the Enhanced Version (October 2015), which overhauled core systems including combat, UI, and cyberspace mechanics. All three listed DLC items — the Soundtrack, Extra Outfits, and Czech Voice Acting — have been released, the last of which shipped in May 2017. The final meaningful game update was version 7.0.0.0 on January 23, 2019, which added Chinese and Japanese language support along with bug fixes. No updates of any kind have been posted since then. The developer's most recent communication, from November 24, 2021, was a Steam Awards nomination post — a community goodwill message that reflected on Dex's legacy and asked fans whether they were still waiting for a sequel. This message carries a valedictory tone, celebrating what the game accomplished rather than signaling any future content. No new content, roadmap, or DLC has been announced. The developer had publicly shifted focus to a new project (Ghost Theory) as far back as 2017, and there is no indication of any further development plans for Dex itself. The game is complete.
