ICEY launched on Steam on November 17, 2016, as a complete 2D side-scrolling action/meta game. In the months following launch, the developer shipped one piece of substantive DLC content: "UCEY's Awakening," a free story DLC released on February 26, 2017, which added new stages and plot. A Japanese audio update followed in August 2018 as a free enhancement. All DLC listed on the store — the OST (December 6, 2016) and UCEY's Awakening (February 26, 2017) — has been released.
Since 2017, there have been no further content releases for the base game. The most recent news post from September 27, 2023, is a cross-promotion announcement noting that ICEY appears as a guest character in a separate game (Flash Party), which does not indicate new content coming to ICEY itself. The developer has never announced a roadmap, season pass, or additional planned content beyond what has already shipped.
