Hi-Fi RUSH launched on January 25, 2023 and received a steady stream of updates throughout its first year. The single major free content drop was the Arcade Challenge! Update (Update 5) on July 5, 2023, which added two new game modes — BPM RUSH! and Power Up! Tower Up! — along with new unlockable rewards. Several cosmetic DLC packs were also released across 2023, all of which have shipped. No DLC remains unreleased. After the Arcade Challenge! Update, the developer shifted to maintenance-only patches: bug fixes, accessibility improvements, and a small anniversary cosmetic bundle in January 2024. There is no second major content release to establish a sustained content cadence. The most significant recent news concerns a publisher transition. Tango Gameworks and Hi-Fi RUSH moved from Bethesda Softworks to KRAFTON, announced on November 14, 2025, with a follow-up patch (Patch 10) on December 4, 2025 that handled the publisher rebrand, removed Denuvo DRM, and updated splash screens. Notably, the Patch 10 post acknowledged the previous update had been labeled the "Final" patch, and added a lighthearted "maybe this one is? maybe it isn't?" comment — but this is not a concrete announcement of future content. It reflects the team being glad the game survived a publisher change, not a commitment to new content. All six DLC items are released. The one major free content update shipped in July 2023.
