Dinogen Online launched on Steam Early Access on March 3, 2023. The sole developer (Wilkin Games is a one-person studio, as stated on January 25, 2023) shipped six major content updates between March and October 2023, then one more on March 9, 2024, adding new maps, weapons, dinosaurs, game modes, survival items, and the Open World feature. The March 9, 2024 update also teased an upcoming new Dinogen Online project with exclusive Open World gameplay, suggesting the developer had ongoing plans at that time.
However, as of today (June 14, 2026), there has been no developer communication of any kind since March 9, 2024 — a silence of over 27 months. The game's historical update cadence ranged from roughly one major update every 1–2 months in early 2023, slowing to roughly every 5–6 months by late 2023. The current silence far exceeds that pattern.
The game remains in Early Access with no announced 1.0 release date and no developer statement about the conclusion of development. Given the extended silence from a solo developer and the unresolved Early Access status, the development situation is uncertain.
