Evaluation

Disintegration launched on June 15, 2020 as a single-player/multiplayer sci-fi shooter. Shortly after launch, the developer shipped several patches improving performance and gameplay. However, by October 2020, V1 Interactive announced that multiplayer support would be ending, and on November 17, 2020, multiplayer servers were shut down and those modes were removed from the game entirely — multiplayer achievements were replaced with campaign alternatives. This effectively marked the conclusion of active development, as the studio ceased post-launch support at that point. No major content updates, expansions, or DLC were ever released or announced. The news record since November 2020 is entirely silent on new content until May 2026, when Disintegration was picked up by new publisher Untold Tales. That publisher announcement on May 13, 2026 does not reference any new content, updates, or development plans — it appears to be a commercial/distribution arrangement rather than a signal of renewed development. The game remains purchasable in its current state as a complete single-player experience.
Evidence
Multiplayer servers shut down and modes removed from the game. Multiplayer achievements replaced with campaign alternatives. This was the last meaningful developer communication for over 5 years.
