Evaluation

AirMech Command launched on March 8, 2017 as a full 1.0 release — the developer explicitly chose not to do Early Access, shipping the game as a finished product. The weeks following launch saw a bug fix patch and some quality-of-life announcements, consistent with a typical post-launch cleanup period. The last official developer communication was a January 16, 2018 post explaining that the team's attention had shifted to other titles in the AirMech series — AirMech Strike and AirMech Wastelands. The post mentioned that Knuckles controller support and engine performance improvements were planned, and teased a future unannounced VR project, but these were vague forward-looking statements from over eight years ago that were never followed up on with any further posts, patch notes, or announcements. There are no DLC listings, no announced future content, no roadmap, and no developer communication of any kind after January 16, 2018. The game has had no major content updates throughout its post-launch history, and the developer's own statement from January 2018 makes clear that primary development focus had already moved elsewhere. Given the complete silence since January 16, 2018 — now more than eight years ago — and the absence of any unreleased content commitments, the game is best understood as having reached its final state around that time.
Evidence
Developer states team focus has shifted to AirMech Strike and AirMech Wastelands, with VR updates for AirMech Command planned but tied to a broader engine update and an unannounced future VR project. This is the last official communication from the developer.
