Dog Duty launched out of Early Access on September 17, 2020 with its v1.0 release. Following launch, the developer shipped two post-launch updates: v1.1 on October 22, 2020 (adding new Horde Mode maps and a scoring system) and v1.2 on December 8, 2020 (a bug-fix patch). No updates of any kind have been posted since December 8, 2020 — nearly five and a half years of silence as of today. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no developer roadmap or statement indicating further updates are planned. The one recent news post (February 2025) is from the publisher SOEDESCO and concerns an entirely different game (Dollhouse: Behind The Broken Mirror), not Dog Duty. The game launched as a self-contained experience and has received no new content since late 2020, indicating development concluded with the v1.2 patch.

About Dog Duty

Control a squad of misfits as they go up against some evil bigwig Octopus Commander and his army who are threatening world-peace. In this fun, fast-paced Real Time Tactics game, you go into combat and use guerrilla warfare to eliminate all octo-scum. Fight on top of your moving vehicle as you go from island to island to liberate outposts and defeat wicked bosses in their crazy octo-machines. Wreck those squids up, but beware, they’re well-armed.
