Don't Shit On My #!$@& Roof entered Steam Early Access on September 27, 2022, and received a healthy stream of updates through early 2023 — including major content patches in October 2022 (boss update 0.2), December 2022 (tainted update 0.3), and March 2023 (summoning/objectives update 0.4). The game was actively being developed with plans for a UI overhaul, difficulty system rework, and additional content to follow Update 0.4. However, on October 5, 2023, the developer posted a message explaining that The Moon Pirates company went bankrupt in April 2023 and was forced into legal proceedings. As part of the court's ruling, they were required to withdraw all of their games from sale on Steam — which is why the game currently has no purchase options available. The developer hoped to retain the intellectual property rights to their games so they could eventually reactivate the Steam pages and resume development, but noted the legal procedure could take up to a year and offered no certainty about the outcome. That October 5, 2023 post is the last communication from the developer. As of June 27, 2026 — now over two and a half years later — there have been no further updates, no resolution announced, and no sign the studio has resumed activity. The game remains in Early Access with no way to purchase it, stuck in legal limbo with its future entirely unknown.
