Sole Saga

Sole Saga is a rogue-lite action game that entered Early Access on April 28, 2023 and has been steadily developed by a two-person team. Since launch, the team shipped five major content updates: the Assassin hero (June 30, 2023), The Little Witch hero (August 26, 2023), the Kamabhumi biome (December 15, 2023), the Spellblade hero (June 28, 2024), and finally "The Breach" — described as the 5th and final biome — on September 17, 2025. On June 26, 2025, the developers posted a candid update acknowledging development had taken longer than expected due to their small team size and outside responsibilities, but explicitly reaffirmed their commitment to "completing the game with all planned content and releasing it from Early Access before moving on to our next project." This is a direct promise to graduate to a full 1.0 release. The September 17, 2025 patch added the final biome and noted it as the last biome, suggesting content milestones are being checked off. However, as of June 21, 2026, no further posts have appeared — over 9 months of silence — and the game remains in Early Access with no announcement of a 1.0 launch date. Given the team's history of delays and acknowledged communication gaps, it's unclear whether the 1.0 release is imminent, still in progress, or stalled. The promise to leave Early Access has not yet been fulfilled, and the developer has gone quiet since the final biome dropped.
