Down the Rabbit Hole launched on March 26, 2020 as a complete VR adventure. It received a bug fix patch in July 2020 adding save slots, language support, and miscellaneous fixes, followed by a technical update on June 1, 2021 adding 120Hz support for Quest 2. These updates reflect post-launch polish rather than a pattern of new story or gameplay content being added. The most recent developer communication, posted on June 27, 2025, announced the release of Escaping Wonderland — described explicitly as a "spiritual successor" to Down the Rabbit Hole, not an expansion or DLC for it. This confirms that Cortopia Studios has moved on to a new standalone title rather than continuing to develop content for the original game. No DLC has ever been listed for Down the Rabbit Hole, no future content has been announced for it, and the store description contains no mention of planned additions. The game shipped as a self-contained experience and has remained that way. The 120Hz update on June 1, 2021 represents the last meaningful development work on the title.
