Dragonhold launched into Early Access on November 10, 2025, and graduated to version 1.0 on August 7, 2026. The 1.0 release was a substantial update — bringing major AI and performance improvements, a new Centurion Dragon, a lock-on system, revival altars, overhauled enemy combat, redesigned UI, and multiple save slots with Steam Cloud support. Since the 1.0 launch, the developer has continued pushing updates at a steady pace: a stability and server improvement hotfix on August 15, 2026, a multiplayer and equipment fix patch on September 1, 2026, and a LAN connectivity patch on September 18, 2026. This is three feature patches in about six weeks, continuing the active update pattern the studio maintained throughout Early Access. The developer's language at the 1.0 launch framed ongoing player support as helping them "continue improving the game and expanding what Dragonhold can become." The reactivation of a cosmetics Supporters menu at launch also signals an intent to keep developing the game post-release. No specific future content (DLC, expansions, or named updates) has been announced, but the sustained post-launch update cadence and developer messaging make clear the game is still in active development rather than a wrapped, complete product.

Dragon-riding extraction ARPG with castle building

Dragonhold is a mission-based dragon riding ARPG. Take on dangerous excursions across the war-torn Azarkeen region, fighting on dragonback and on foot to seize loot and relics. Then extract back to your castle island, where you expand your town, craft gear, and upgrade your warriors for the next run.

Each mission is a risk–reward run: push deeper for better rewards, or extract early to secure what you’ve found. Play fully solo or team up in online co-op; your progress and castle carry across both.

Dragonhold is NOT always online. You can run a dedicated server yourself for free, the files are on steam.
