Dread Delusion launched into 1.0 on May 14, 2024 after a successful Early Access period. Following launch, the developer shipped one post-launch content update — the "Creature Island & Hard Mode" update on July 26, 2024 — which added a new explorable region, a Hard Mode difficulty, new quests, equipment, and spells. That post was explicitly titled "THE FINAL UPDATE" and the developer described it as "their final content update," making the completion of Dread Delusion's content unambiguous. Since then, the game has received a console release on March 17, 2026 (Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation, and Xbox), which brought platform availability but no new content. A physical edition was also announced on July 28, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Developer Lovely Hellplace has moved on to their next project, Entropy, whose demo launched June 1, 2026 and entered Early Access on August 18, 2026. All of this confirms that Dread Delusion is a finished product with no further content planned.
