Dream Golf VR launched as a free-to-play VR mini golf game on November 3, 2017, with two 18-hole courses included in the base game. The developer, Isaac Stearns, subsequently released four paid DLC courses: Lighthouse Island (January 29, 2018), Jungle Temple (November 16, 2018), Infinity Towers (September 20, 2019), and Loopy Backrooms (September 2, 2022). The store description explicitly names these four DLC courses as the complete set of additional content ("4 additional courses are available as DLC!"), with all four now released. In addition to DLC, the developer shipped a free 18-hole course called Snowland on December 25, 2020, and added significant features like Arcade Mode in April 2020 and new hidden collectibles in December 2021. The Loopy Backrooms DLC release on September 2, 2022 was the last major content drop and also the last developer communication of any kind.
