Drug Dealer Simulator 2 launched on June 20, 2024 and has been receiving consistent, substantial updates since then. The developer shipped a major content update in February 2025 adding new drugs, production systems, and gameplay mechanics, followed by the Casino DLC on June 20, 2025 — a paid expansion adding an entire casino location. A free holiday DLC also launched on December 23, 2024. On June 17, 2026, the developer published a roadmap for the near future of DDS2, confirming plans for a UI revamp, Casino DLC polish, free content updates introducing new gameplay items in two waves, and paid DLCs expanding on those themes. The post declared "it's going to be a busy summer for DDS maniacs." Two days later on June 19, 2026, the developer addressed the long-anticipated vehicles update, explaining that the original code was too broken to salvage and that if cars come to DDS2, they will be rebuilt from scratch — the feature remains a possibility but is no longer a firm commitment. Most recently, on July 17, 2026, the developer published details about an upcoming UI overhaul and controller support update, actively in progress for both PC and consoles. This confirms the team is still working through the items outlined in the June roadmap. The developer has also been actively developing a console version of DDS2, which launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 17, 2026, and DDS3 is separately in early development as a future title. All signals point to continued active support for DDS2 with multiple announced content drops still to come.
