Evaluation

Duck Game launched on June 4, 2015 and has received a steady stream of updates over the years. The developer shipped two major named updates post-launch: the Duck Game @HOME Update on August 30, 2017 (adding a leveling system, new levels, rewritten netcode, and more), and the landmark Duck Game 1.5 update on November 13, 2020 (described by the developer as "the biggest Duck Game update ever," adding 8-player multiplayer, spectator mode, new weapons, and hundreds of fixes). Following 1.5, the developer continued with a series of feature patches and bug fixes through early 2022, with the final known communication being a small bug fix patch on May 20, 2022. That patch noted "more updates should be coming before too long," but no further updates have appeared since then — over four years as of June 2026. The store description makes no mention of planned future content, there are no unreleased DLC listings, and the developer has not posted any roadmap or announcement of upcoming content. The two major updates were spaced roughly 3 years apart, and the last communication was May 20, 2022. Given that more than four years have passed since any developer activity — far beyond even the widest reasonable interpretation of that cadence — the game's content development appears to have concluded. Duck Game appears to have shipped as a complete, self-contained experience with no outstanding commitments.
