Evaluation
Dust to the End launched into full 1.0 release on August 11, 2021, graduating from Early Access. At launch, the developer (HaoJoy Game) stated they were working on vehicle modifications and new plots, suggesting continued development. However, a Q&A session conducted on September 6, 2021 told a different story: when asked what comes next for the game, the developer explicitly said "This is something we'd rather do in a brand new game," indicating that substantial new feature work would not be coming to Dust to the End, and that their next efforts would be on an unrelated project.
Since that Q&A, the only notable post-launch update was a Japanese localization added on August 5, 2022 — a community-contributed translation rather than new game content. The developer has posted nothing since August 2022, and the game's sole DLC is a soundtrack released before the game even left Early Access. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no post-launch roadmap. The news history (49 posts scanned) shows only 2 major content releases, both of which were the 1.0 launch itself — no post-1.0 content cadence exists.
The last meaningful developer communication was August 5, 2022, and that post contained no promises of future updates. The developer's own September 2021 statement makes clear that further innovation for this game was not their plan. The game is complete as shipped.
Evidence
In a developer Q&A, when asked about the future of Dust to the End, the developer said 'This is something we'd rather do in a brand new game,' signaling that major new content for this title was not planned. Their next project was described as a completely different game.
Developer announces 1.0 full release, mentions working on vehicle modifications and new plots — suggesting some continued development was initially planned.

About this game
Join a caravan of merchants to cross the unforgiving sands. Negotiate and barter to gain riches through trade. Build and defend your settlement, developing new industries from the scratches of the old world. Fight and kill your enemies and the strange creatures that inhabit the wasteland – or attack and plunder unsuspecting victims in this kill-or-be-killed merciless world.

Decades ago, a world-scale nuclear conflict destroyed human civilization as we knew it. The scant survivors hid in underground shelters and spent near a century in hiding. When the radiation dissipated enough for the ground to be safe, many groups of survivors resurfaced again and began re-colonizing the world, reconstructing civilization… to some extent: the human race failed to learn from the mistakes that led to their downfall. History started repeating very quickly, as new powers emerged in the wastelands – in a world where resources were scarce and far apart, growing settlements, petty warlords and roaming bands clashed in constant strife for land, food, water and other resources.
You grew up in Shelter 507, living a safe life (if dull and stagnate) until a day, not long ago, when your leaders and elders decided to open up the doors finally – sick of living buried, but also full of hope for the potential of the new world. That hope was cut short with rusty blades through your family's necks. Later on, you discovered the killers were members of a human trafficking organization who called themselves 'the Black Death'. But at that moment they were just like walking nightmares, coming from the sun-scorched exterior to kill everyone you had known and loved for your whole life. Somehow, you managed to flee and survive and were nurtured back to health in a nearby settlement. But nothing comes for free in this new world, and you'll have to earn your due…
