EA SPORTS FC™ 25

EA SPORTS FC 25 launched on September 26, 2024 and operates as a live service sports game. The store description explicitly describes Club Membership rewards "across the year," seasonal content cycles, and optional in-game purchases of virtual currency (FC Points) that can be used to acquire randomized virtual items — the hallmarks of a live service structure. The game has received 17+ title updates between launch and July 2, 2025, including feature patches adding new gameplay systems, player roles, evolution mechanics, and rotating Ultimate Team seasons and Premium Passes. The June 6, 2025 Season Finale update (Title Update #15) introduced a new Ultimate Team season and Premium Pass, confirming the seasonal content cycle was still active as of that date. EA has also begun promoting EA SPORTS FC 26, with deep dives for gameplay (July 22, 2025), FUT (August 6, 2025), Career Mode (August 1, 2025), and PC features (September 12, 2025), and an FC 26 Showcase preview on February 17, 2026. This is consistent with EA's annual franchise model, where FC 25 completes its content season before the next installment launches. The most recent update to FC 25 was Title Update #17 on July 2, 2025, which addressed specific gameplay and pass-reward bugs — indicating the live service was still being maintained at that time.
