Evaluation

Earth Analog launched on February 10, 2021 and has been continuously expanded by solo developer Funcraft Games (nkm) ever since. The game has received four named major content updates: the Supermassive Black Hole update (November 20, 2021), v2.0 (May 26, 2025), the Beyond the Event Horizon / Black Holes update (October 18, 2025), and the 2.3 Nebula Update (February 11, 2026). This establishes a sustained pattern of substantial content releases across the game's lifetime. The March 2025 roadmap post explicitly described plans extending through 2026, and the developer closed the v2.0 announcement by writing "I can't wait to continue improving and expanding the game in the years ahead." The 2.3 Nebula Update post itself ended with "More exciting updates will follow soon." These statements, combined with an active cadence of both major updates and regular maintenance patches (the most recent being May 25, 2026), make clear that development is ongoing. No specific next update has been formally announced or named at this time — the roadmap items for v2.2 (nebulas, black holes, time dilation) appear to have been fulfilled by the 2.3 update — but the developer's consistent communication and update history indicate the game continues to receive meaningful new content.

About this game

In Earth Analog, you take control of the science vessel Eurisko XI on a mission through deep space. Your goal: find humanity's new home.

Your journey begins in orbit around Proxima Centauri b, a planet that feels familiar - at first. But the deeper you venture, the stranger the worlds become...

This story-rich, relaxing space flight adventure challenges you to keep your ship intact while navigating mysterious and sometimes dangerous environments. Manually fly and land your vessel, explore distant planetary systems, and venture out on foot to study alien terrain. You'll need to manage critical systems: prospect for resources, upgrade your ship, and repair damage as it happens.

Discover rare artifacts and valuable materials to unlock new paths. And can you master the mysterious Dimension Device? It's all up to you - you're completely alone out there... or are you?
