Eastern Exorcist

Eastern Exorcist launched in Early Access on August 14, 2020 and graduated to its full 1.0 release on July 7, 2021, after roughly four years of development. The launch post on July 8, 2021 celebrated the game's completion and mentioned the team would continue to polish and incorporate player feedback — a typical post-launch support statement rather than a commitment to new content. Following the 1.0 launch, the developer shipped one meaningful content update: two new ancient monster boss challenge levels (Tāo tiè and Táo wù) added on November 26, 2021. This is the only major content addition in the game's post-launch history. Since then, developer communications have consisted entirely of bug fixes and localization work — Russian language support was added on August 16, 2022, with follow-up bug fixes on December 25, 2023 and January 2, 2024. The most recent developer post on November 4, 2025 was a promotional announcement about the game participating in a Steam festival, with no new content announced. The only DLC is a digital artbook released on October 1, 2021, with no unreleased DLC listed on the store. There are no roadmaps, no announced future content, and no indication from the developer that additional gameplay content is planned. The developer has not made any post-launch statement explicitly promising new story content, characters, or expansions beyond what has already shipped. The last substantive content shipped on November 26, 2021, and the update pattern since then has been purely maintenance-focused. The game appears to be a complete, finished product.
