Evaluation
Eaten Alive launched on September 30, 2015. On launch day, the developer announced two major patches were incoming. Patch #1 shipped on October 4, 2015, delivering new areas, story/quest content, and bug fixes. A November 25, 2015 post teased a second content update with new areas, quests, and characters — but this appears to be the final communication from the developer, and no second patch was ever formally announced as shipped. That said, the November 25, 2015 post is also the last known developer communication of any kind. Since then — over a decade of silence — there have been no further updates, announcements, or developer activity. Given this extended silence and the absence of any unreleased DLC or outstanding roadmap commitments, the game is best treated as a completed product that the developer stopped supporting around late 2015. The promised "Patch #2" was never confirmed as delivered, but with no further developer communication for over ten years, it is reasonable to conclude active development concluded around November 2015.
