Evaluation

EBOLA VILLAGE is a single-developer survival horror game that launched on May 13, 2025. The developer's May 2, 2025 announcement explicitly stated that "the game is already finished" and had undergone extensive testing prior to release, indicating it shipped as a complete product. Since launch, the developer has issued several post-release patches (Updates 1.0.0.2, 1.0.0.4, and 1.0.0.5) addressing bugs, quality-of-life improvements, localization additions, and AI tweaks. These are maintenance and polish updates typical of a newly released game, not a rollout of new story content or major expansions. The developer's news post from May 13, 2025 (release day) focused on the companion free short film and asked for community support to help fund future projects — framing the film and game as completed deliverables rather than the beginning of an ongoing content plan. No roadmap, season pass, or announced upcoming DLC exists. All DLC entries on the store are released. The developer has not communicated any plans for additional paid or free content beyond what has already shipped. The most recent developer communication was June 15, 2025 (Update 1.0.0.5), which was purely a maintenance patch. There are no outstanding commitments and no announced future content. The game launched as a finished single-player horror experience and the post-launch activity has been limited to fixing issues from release.
