Edemn launched into Early Access on June 14, 2023 as a free-to-play online skeleton shooter. In its first few months, the developer was fairly active: a Space Update shipped on June 20, 2023, a Hot Summer Update followed on June 26, 2023, and a progression system was added on July 9, 2023. The developer also announced future plans including bots, new languages, achievements, and a flamethrower weapon. On September 13, 2023, the developer posted a status update acknowledging a long absence, confirming the game was still in development, and hinting at a big update "maybe in 2024" alongside smaller seasonal events like Halloween and New Year's. That post is the last official communication on record from Joulion Studio. Since September 13, 2023, there have been no further developer posts, patches, or announcements. The promised seasonal events and the 2024 major update have not been publicly documented.
