Eldritch launched on October 21, 2013 and received a steady stream of content in its early years: the Mountains of Madness free expansion (December 19, 2013), the Asylum expansion (August 20, 2014), a Halloween seasonal area (October 27, 2014), and a substantial "Reanimated" update adding new rooms, enemies, weapons, and technical improvements (April 13, 2019). The store page confirms the Mountains of Madness expansion is included in the base game. The most notable recent development is a March 28, 2025 announcement that Minor Key Games is working on Eldritch 2, a sequel. This is a signal that the developer has moved on from the original game rather than continuing to update it — the original Eldritch appears to be a finished product, with the studio's energy directed toward the sequel. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap or promised content for the original game, and no post-2019 updates to the base game. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which was released in February 2020. The April 13, 2019 "Reanimated" update represents the last meaningful content addition to the game.
