Evaluation

Paranautical Activity: Deluxe Atonement Edition is, as its title suggests, a definitive/complete edition of the game. The base game launched into Early Access in 2013 and received a series of content patches throughout 2013 and 2014, culminating in what the developer explicitly called "the final content patch" on September 27, 2014 (NEWS-2). The game then fully released on October 20, 2014. On February 13, 2015, the developer announced the completion of the Deluxe Atonement Edition (NEWS-1), which bundled the full game with bonus extras: developer footage and commentary, a pro strategy guide, wallpapers, one new level type, one new weapon, and one new item. The store description confirms this as a packaged complete edition. The only post-2015 news is a note from April 14, 2016 confirming a Wii U port release — a platform port, not new content for the PC version. There have been no further developer communications since April 2016, no announced future content, no unreleased DLC, and no ongoing update cadence. The September 2014 post explicitly marked the end of content development, and the Deluxe Atonement Edition formalized the complete package. This game is finished.
