Evaluation
BPM: Bullets Per Minute launched on September 15, 2020 and received meaningful post-launch content over the following two years. The major Overdrive Update shipped on February 5, 2021, adding five new characters, three new weapons, a new chapter, new bosses, and more. A Custom Music feature — the game's most-requested addition — followed on September 27, 2022. After that point, no further content updates for this game have been released.
The developer's focus has since shifted to a follow-up title. On August 27, 2025, Awe Interactive announced BPM Bitcrushed, a new entry in the BPM universe with a different top-down perspective. Crucially, that announcement included a direct note for FPS fans: "we're not finished with BPM," which initially suggested future content for the original game. However, the June 12, 2026 post promoting the BPM Bitcrushed demo makes no mention of any new content coming to BPM: Bullets Per Minute itself — it is focused entirely on the new standalone title. The August 2025 statement appears to have been a reassurance that the franchise continues, not a promise of updates to this specific game.
The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which released on launch day. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced updates, and no roadmap for the original game. The last content update for BPM: Bullets Per Minute was the Custom Music update on September 27, 2022. The game launched as a complete experience and received bonus content over its first two years; all available evidence points to that content cycle being complete.

About this game
WARNING: BPM contains flashing images. If you experience epileptic seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing lights, immediately stop playing BPM and consult your doctor before resuming.
Fight as a mighty Valkyrie to repel the forces of the underworld from invading the world of Asgard.
Gameplay
In BPM, all of your actions and the actions of your enemies are tied to the beat of the music. Your enemies perform a dance-like sequence of attacks to an epic rock opera. BPM is inspired by retro shooters of the 90’s. It is fast, frenetic and rhythmical. You can double jump, dash, rocket jump and bunny hop to evade your opponents.
Your goal is to reach the end of randomly generated dungeons, collecting different weapons, abilities and items each time you play. These weapons and abilities can radically alter the way you play, making each playthrough unique.
You must defeat 7 bosses to reach the final boss. Each boss moves and attacks in a unique way that you must learn to exploit if you want to succeed. Some attacks require you to jump over fields of lava, some to dodge fast projectiles, some to hold fast for a beat.
