Electoral Carnage

Early access since Jul 2026

Electoral Carnage is an absurd 2D fighting game featuring America's most famous (and infamous) politicians. If you don't download it you hate America. Also JFK can assassinate himself. What more do you need to know?

Evaluation

Electoral Carnage is an actively developed Early Access 2D fighting game featuring American presidents, made by a small studio that has been remarkably prolific since the game's public launch. The development team has maintained a rapid and consistent cadence of major character releases. Looking at the news history: Lincoln was added on September 1, 2025; a feature update shipped on March 9, 2026; Robo Roosevelt was added on May 12, 2026; the rollback netcode update shipped on June 20, 2026; Nixon (DLC #1) launched on July 13, 2026; a feature patch shipped July 21, 2026; Taft arrived on August 1, 2026; Magical Girl Trump (DLC #2) arrived on August 27, 2026; and Andrew Jackson was added on September 7, 2026. That's eight major content drops since September 2025, with several arriving just weeks apart. Both developers confirmed they quit their day jobs to work on the game full-time in approximately April 2026. The September 7, 2026 post explicitly announces that DLC #3, William Henry Harrison, is currently in development, with an estimated 4–5 week timeframe to release. The developer also noted that palette swaps (skins) are likely to arrive alongside that character. The long-term roadmap, first stated on June 20, 2026, targets a final roster of 20 free characters and 10 paid DLC characters — the roster currently sits at 11, leaving substantial content still to come. Financially, the studio noted in the September 7 post that Trump's release put them in a better position ("heads above water for the next month or so"), continuing to develop content. There are no signs of development trouble — communication has been frequent, updates have been consistent, and specific upcoming content has been named.

About this game

Electoral Carnage is a 2D fighting game featuring American Presidents. The game has an emphasis on comedy, movement, and easy to learn, hard to master gameplay.

Blood, Guts, Supers

From the historical, to the offensive, to the intentionally stupid, every fighter has been blessed with an absurd, balls to the walls super move that will have you and all your friends laughing.

Since every super one-shots your opponent, Electoral Carnage is a game about getting your super and landing it first, leading to lightning fast gameplay and quick salty rematches.

Movement Mania

As lifelong fighting game fans, we've pulled inspiration from fighting games across genres to give each character unique and deeply expressive movement. Dash dance with Obama, air-assault with Teddy Roosevelt, and wavedash with JFK!

The American (Fighting Game) Dream

Our game has no combos. Instead, after landing a hit, you'll be thrust back into neutral, reemphasizing your movement and giving your one-shot supers even more impact. The unique gameplay loop allows for a fighting game that aims to bridge the gap between competitive and casual players; allowing the sweats to grind out stylish movement tech, but inevitably letting the noobs win a game or two with a lucky super.
