Empire Game was released on June 20, 2025 but is no longer available for purchase on Steam. The developer confirmed on July 28, 2025 that Steam had approved their delisting request, and the store page now shows no purchase options — confirming the game has been removed from sale.
The delisting was not due to abandonment. On July 22, 2025, the developer explained that disputes with a business partner prevented them from updating the original game, so they created an entirely new Steam page for a remastered version called "Pixel Hero" (App ID 3846190). Players who purchased Empire Game were offered a free key for the remastered version by emailing proof of purchase. The developer explicitly stated the game would remain in purchasers' libraries and continue to receive updates there — it simply would no longer be sold.
The developer acknowledged the original game launched with a strong "mobile port" feel, and committed to a comprehensive remaster that was nearing completion at the time of the July 22 post. The original Empire Game store page, however, is definitively delisted.
