Evaluation
Endless ATC launched on July 19, 2017 and has been continuously updated by its solo developer (startgrid) ever since. The game has received three named major content releases visible in the news history — Update v3.8 on November 9, 2018 (which added the Tokyo and Toronto airports), V5.0 on April 14, 2022 (which added the Sydney scenario and a rewind feature), plus a consistent stream of substantial feature patches. Recent feature updates include v5.5 (February 16, 2024), v5.6 (June 20, 2024), v5.7 (February 22, 2025), v5.8 (January 28, 2026), and v5.8.6 (August 1, 2026), with bug fix patches also shipping in February and April 2026. This establishes a clear and sustained pattern of ongoing development. No specific future content has been announced, but the developer has not communicated that development is winding down — quite the opposite, with multiple feature-rich updates shipping in the past year alone. The store description lists 9 airports with full scenario and random traffic support, and the developer actively maintains and expands the custom airport toolset. There are no unreleased DLC items listed on the store, and no live-service monetization structure. The game continues to be actively developed and refined.

About this game
In this game, you are an air traffic controller at a busy airport: you guide incoming planes safely to the runways, by giving heading, altitude and speed instructions while monitoring the radar screen. For every plane that lands safely, you score points. As long as you make no mistakes, your score and the amount of traffic will keep rising. Find out how many flights you can manage to control at a time. Or, you can choose to limit the traffic rate at a lower level, for a relaxed gameplay.
The graphics are simple, just like a real tracon radar display, but the underlying mechanics are detailed and polished. Compared to other games in the genre, this game combines the realism of hardcore simulators, with the ease of use of arcade ATC games.
The sim includes 9 airports, each with a scenario and unlimited random traffic, providing many hours of gameplay.
Although the controls are relatively easy, this game may have a learning curve if you're unfamiliar with aviation. For example, this is how an ILS approach works:
