Evaluation

Epic Roller Coasters launched as a free-to-play VR roller coaster game on March 7, 2018 and has been continuously expanded by B4T Games ever since. The developer has released 33 DLC packs — individual themed roller coaster tracks and content bundles — spanning from launch through May 2026. The most recent DLC, Aurora (a Northern Lights-themed coaster), shipped on May 1, 2026, just under two months before today's date. The pace of new DLC has been remarkably consistent. Looking at the major content releases, B4T Games shipped multiple DLC packs in 2023 (at least six between January and December), continued into 2024 with releases in April, May, August, and December, and has already put out three major DLC releases in 2025–2026: The Smurfs (November 2025), The Clown Show (April 2026), and Aurora (May 2026). This pattern — roughly one new DLC every one to three months in recent years — shows no sign of slowing. Beyond DLC, B4T Games has also been actively improving the base game. A major new gameplay mode called Shooter Bullseye launched in November 2024, a redesigned lobby interface rolled out in March 2025, and a Quick Match multiplayer feature was added in July 2025. The developer has also pursued licensed content partnerships, including SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon) and The Smurfs (Peyo Company), suggesting ongoing commercial investment in the platform. There are no developer statements indicating that content development is winding down. The last official communication was the Aurora DLC launch post on May 4, 2026 — less than two months ago — well within the established release cadence. All current DLC listings are marked as released, but given the consistent pattern of new additions, this simply means the latest batch is complete, not that no more are coming.
