Escape This

Escape This is a small casual puzzle platformer that launched on May 4, 2016. The developer posted actively in the weeks following launch, shipping several patches and feature updates throughout 2016. On June 11, 2016, the developer published a post explicitly titled "LAST Major Escape This Gameplay Update," stating that the June 2016 patch would be the final major gameplay update, with only bug fixes and remaining map completions to follow. Later in October 2016, the developer had a change of heart after reading a critical review and announced a full engine rework called "Escape This: Neon," listing several planned features. On March 25, 2017, the developer announced that the Neon rebuild was ready and would replace the original version of the game within a day or two. That March 2017 post is the last developer communication on record for this game. No further updates, announcements, or roadmap content have been posted since then — a span of over nine years to today's date of June 27, 2026. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no outstanding promises from post-2017 communications, and no indication of any planned future content. The game launched as a small finished product and its active development window concluded with the Neon engine rollout in early 2017. It should also be noted that several of the more recent news posts visible in this game's feed (such as the Brotherhood launch and Stones Keeper II announcements) are publisher cross-promotions for entirely different games, not updates to Escape This itself.
