Door Kickers launched on October 20, 2014 and received a strong wave of post-launch content updates through its first few years: multiple new campaigns, weapons, enemy types, a new game mode, and eventually online cooperative multiplayer (November 2017). By late 2021, the developer's communication had shifted almost entirely toward Door Kickers 2, which launched in Early Access on November 7, 2020. The final post for Door Kickers (November 26, 2021) was a small bug-fix patch that closed out remaining technical issues and explicitly noted the existence of Door Kickers 2 as the studio's current focus. There have been no further updates or announcements for Door Kickers since that date. The only DLC ever released was a soundtrack pack (April 20, 2015), and no additional DLC has been listed or announced. The developer's attention and resources have clearly moved on to the sequel, and the original game appears to have reached its natural end of content support.

Door Kickers is an innovative realtime strategy game that puts you in charge of a SWAT team and lets you command them during a tactical intervention.
Analyze the situation, plan team routes, choose equipment and breach points and coordinate multiple troopers to reach the hostage room before the bad guys get to press that trigger.
It may sound daunting, and like real world CQB combat, it sure is. But most levels can be completed in minutes and on the fly improvisation works. Achieving the perfect planning, getting the mission done with no false steps, that’s a skill harder to master.
