Eternal Dread 2 launched on December 13, 2019 and received a small flurry of patches in the days immediately following launch (December 17 and 19, 2019) to address bugs and add minor options. After that, all developer activity ceased. There is no post-launch DLC, no roadmap, and no announcements of future content for this game. The most recent news post associated with this game — from March 10, 2023 — is simply an announcement that the developer's next game, Eternal Dread 3, is now available on Steam. This confirms the studio moved on to a sequel rather than continuing to develop this title. The store description contains no language about future content or updates. Eternal Dread 2 appears to have shipped as a complete, self-contained product, and the developer has since directed their focus to the sequel.

Eternal Dread 2 is an Action-RPG game set in the bleak world ravaged by years of oppression under the demons, where men were all but decimated in the never-ending struggle. All that is left are the younglings and the elderly incapable of taking up arms, leaving the girls in their prime to step up and protect the remnants of human race.
Though the four vile Elder Fiends were vanquished, the threat persists still in great numbers.
To bring the world an everlasting triumph, the surviving humans rose up to hunt down the demoralized demons. And while they were making progress, little they knew that a new tide of darkness is looming. One that will plunge the world into another terrifying eon of torment…
