Evaluation
ETHEREAL launched on March 7, 2019 as a complete, self-contained puzzle game with 4 worlds and 24 hand-crafted levels. In the weeks following launch, the developer posted four bug-fix updates to address movement and stability issues reported by players, with the last update (version 1.7) posted on April 4, 2019. There has been no developer communication of any kind since that date — no new content announcements, no roadmap, no DLC, and no post-launch expansions. The store description describes a fixed set of content ("4 different worlds," "24 hand-crafted levels") with no language suggesting ongoing additions. The game was clearly shipped as a finished product, and the post-launch activity was limited to launch-window bug fixing. No further content has been announced or implied at any point.

About this game

Each corner of its world has been carefully designed to communicate without any text and expose a novel puzzle to solve without time pressure, evoking an introspective state of mind.
