EXCALIBURIAN!!

EXCALIBURIAN!! is a free-to-play RPG that launched on December 31, 2021. The game was developed by a solo developer and shipped as a complete product, with no post-launch content cycle, no DLC, and no roadmap for expansions or major updates. On June 16, 2026, the developer officially announced PARAGON STORY — described as the "spiritual successor" to EXCALIBURIAN!! — on a new Steam page. The announcement post makes clear that EXCALIBURIAN!! served as the foundation and learning experience for this next project, with the developer explicitly thanking players for their feedback: "What began as a collection of ideas in EXCALIBURIAN!! has grown and been refined into a fully realized RPG experience in a new engine." This language strongly implies EXCALIBURIAN!! itself is complete and the developer has moved on. Alongside the announcement, a minor technical patch was released for EXCALIBURIAN!! covering framework updates and small bug fixes — maintenance work consistent with a finished game, not new content. A prior update on September 14, 2024 had already signaled the developer was focused on a new project (then tentatively called PARAGON QUEST), with no further updates planned for EXCALIBURIAN!!. The June 2026 announcement confirms that project has since evolved into PARAGON STORY, targeting a late 2026 to early 2027 release. There is no announced or unreleased content for EXCALIBURIAN!! itself. The game launched complete and has remained complete throughout its lifetime.
