EZ2ON REBOOT : R launched on April 14, 2022 and has been in sustained, high-frequency development ever since, with 15 DLC packs shipped and a continuous stream of free updates, new songs, new courses, and feature improvements.
The most recent activity is particularly significant: on September 18, 2026 (today), the developer launched a Public Test Server for a major version 2.0 update. This update includes a comprehensive interface overhaul across all game modes, a complete rework of the gameplay settings system, new per-lane input delay controls, an expanded preset system, overhauled song and course selection screens, and many other substantial additions. The test server is running ahead of an official 2.0 release, which has not yet shipped to the live server.
Prior to this, the NIGHT TRAVELER DLC (released February 13, 2026) received additional tracks and new courses on March 19, 2026. The Lucent Soirée DLC, originally released as a music pack on October 2, 2025, received its accompanying theme skin content on August 27, 2026, delivered free of charge to existing owners — with the producer personally explaining the decision and the team's commitment to honoring player trust.
The developer has made no statement indicating development is concluding. The ongoing 2.0 public test confirms that substantial new content and features are still in active preparation for the live game.
