Fading Afternoon

Fading Afternoon launched on September 14, 2023. Its only major post-launch update came on October 6, 2025, when the Rumble Mode update added location and season/time selection, 89 music tracks, customization options, Traditional Chinese text, and memory optimization. On October 7, 2025 the developer added Kato as a playable character in Rumble Mode and described it as the final content update for now, asking players to report bugs. An earlier November 6, 2023 post had also called an update the final content update, and the developer later added Rumble Mode content on October 6, 2025, so this kind of statement has been followed by new content before. Since October 7, 2025, the developer's posts on this page have centered on a separate project, The Concrete Sutra #1, announced April 13, 2026, with the most recent post dated September 24, 2026. The game's last shipped content is the October 7, 2025 Kato update, and no further Fading Afternoon content has been announced.
