Fae Farm launched on September 8, 2023 and received two paid DLC expansions: Coasts of Croakia on December 14, 2023, and Skies of Azoria on June 20, 2024. Both are now fully released. The game also received a series of free feature updates and patches throughout 2023 and 2024, with the last substantive patch (a post-Skies of Azoria thank-you update) shipping on July 18, 2024, and a small multiplayer hotfix on October 22, 2024.
In September 2025, the community grew concerned about the game's future — likely due to difficulties at Phoenix Labs, which had already announced layoffs and studio restructuring in early 2024. On September 29, 2025, Gambit Digital announced they had taken over as publisher, confirmed servers would stay online, and stated: "This is just the beginning! There are more announcements to come about the future of the game."
That announcement is now the most recent official communication from any party associated with the game, and no specific new content, roadmap, or update has followed it. The gap between the publisher transition announcement (September 29, 2025) and today (June 21, 2026) is nearly 9 months with no follow-through. While the new publisher's language strongly implies future content, the complete absence of any further communication — and the uncertainty surrounding the studio transition itself — makes it impossible to confirm that new content is actively in development.
