Evaluation

Fae Tactics launched on July 31, 2020 and received a series of bug fix and balance patches through May 3, 2021, when the final recorded update (V1.010) was posted. During the post-launch patch period, one note from August 27, 2020 mentioned that additional free content was being considered — but the developer said details were "not quite ready yet to be discussed." That suggestion was subsequently fulfilled: update V1.009 (March 29, 2021) delivered the new "Challenge" quests, side quests, items, and balancing content that were being worked on at the time. No further content has been announced or released since May 3, 2021. The only DLC listed is the game's soundtrack, which released April 9, 2021 — a standard companion product, not a content expansion. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced roadmap, no season pass, and no developer communications indicating future updates are planned. The game's store description is a straightforward narrative overview with no language about ongoing development or planned additions. The game launched as a complete single-player RPG and received post-launch polish over roughly nine months. As of May 3, 2021, all communicated content has shipped and the developer has not posted any updates since. Fae Tactics appears to be a finished product.
Evidence
V1.009 — substantial update adding Challenge quests, new side quests, new items, gems, balance changes, and boss reworks. Content that had been in development as an alternate mode was folded into the main game.

About this game

In Fae Tactics, follow a young magic user named Peony on her journey across a vibrant world full of mystery and danger. Summon allies, cast spells, and befriend a motley crew of characters as you dive into the growing conflicts between man and magical beings known as fae.

Long ago the world of magic was separated from the natural world by Elemental Gates. One day the seal on the gates was broken, flooding the natural world with magical fae creatures once thought to be myths. The worlds merging was imperfect and much of the land was torn apart. The devastation claimed the lives of most of the population of natural and fae creatures alike. Those that survived have forged new lives in the ruins of the old worlds, but growing tension between man and fae threaten to finish what began with the opening of the gates.
