FAIRY TAIL 2 launched on December 11, 2024, accompanied by a Season Pass and a series of DLC drops that rolled out at roughly monthly intervals through early 2025. Five rounds of content shipped: costume packs on December 23, 2024; a bonus scenario and swimsuit outfits on January 9, 2025; the Arena battle feature on January 30, 2025; new playable character Jellal on February 13, 2025; and new playable characters Mavis and Zeref on March 13, 2025. All DLC currently listed on the store is marked as released, meaning the Season Pass content has been delivered.
However, in the January 30, 2025 update, the developer explicitly stated that future updates for the Arena feature and Encounter Quests were "planned for later this year." That commitment has not been fulfilled — no additional Arena or Encounter Quest content has appeared in the store listing — and the developer has made no public posts since March 13, 2025. With an unfulfilled public commitment and over three months of silence as of June 20, 2026, it is unclear whether this promised content is still in development or has been quietly abandoned.

This sequel to the game "FAIRY TAIL," released in July 2020, depicts the “Alvarez Empire Arc,” the climax of the original manga.
