Farever is a multiplayer action RPG that entered Steam Early Access on May 6, 2026. Shiro Games has maintained a highly active development cadence throughout Early Access.
The first major content update — "The Nightling Invasion" — shipped on July 15, 2026, adding a new world event system (Rifts), a new region (City of Ramburg), new dungeon instances, a level cap increase to 25, new weapons, and more. This was followed by a wave of hotfix and balance patches through late July 2026.
The second major update — "Call to Glory" — was announced on September 10, 2026 and is scheduled to launch on September 30, 2026. It introduces Heroic Mode (a new difficulty tier for all dungeons with unique rewards), a Medals of Glory currency system, emotes, a friend list, in-fight teammate revival, and improved group rewards. A public test branch went live on September 10, 2026, and the developer issued a hotfix for it on September 11, 2026 while actively collecting player feedback. The developer also noted that additional features — including more Heroic dungeons, a new Infusions system, a Reputation system, and performance improvements — will be added to the public test in the weeks leading up to launch.
The developer has also previously disclosed plans for an in-game cosmetic shop featuring skins, mounts, pets, and gliders available via a purchasable currency, though this is described as optional and cosmetic-only. The game continues to operate under an Early Access roadmap with a 1.0 release as the eventual target.
