Fear of Hot Water Ghost launched on April 28, 2025 as a complete survival horror action-adventure game. Since launch, developer nStarcube has been actively engaged in post-launch support, shipping a steady stream of patches focused on controls, camera behavior, performance optimization, and bug fixes. On May 6, 2025, the developer published a statement acknowledging some limitations and committing to continued refinements based on player feedback — focusing specifically on control responsiveness, camera improvements, and performance. All of these improvements have since been delivered across multiple patches through at least June 2025, with a trading card system added in January 2026. Notably, none of the developer's communications mention planned new story content, expansions, DLC, or additional game modes. The post-launch activity is consistent with a developer supporting a shipped, complete game — refining what exists rather than building new content.
