Fields of Mistria

Fields of Mistria officially launched out of Early Access into its full 1.0 release today, August 5, 2026 — exactly two years after it first entered Early Access. The 1.0 update delivers the content NPC Studio outlined in their June 6, 2026 roadmap announcement: completed Villagers & Romance storylines (10 Heart caps, proposals, weddings, marriage, and children), additional dungeon quests and rewards, a completable Town Repair storyline, new skill perks, cosmetics, achievements, and first-wave localization in seven languages. Importantly, the developer explicitly confirmed in a July 21, 2026 FAQ that "we are planning for additional content updates and patches after 1.0." This means the 1.0 launch is not the end of the game's content journey — NPC Studio has communicated a clear intent to continue supporting and expanding the game beyond this milestone. In the lead-up to launch, the team also completed a full engine migration to their own internally developed engine (shipped July 7, 2026), which they describe as "future-proofing development" and laying the groundwork for future platform support and expanded modding. The most recent patch (v0.16.5, July 20, 2026) addressed high-priority bugs just before launch day.
