Evaluation
Final Theory launched on September 21, 2018 and has received a steady stream of post-launch content over the years. The first major DLC, the Royal Navy, was released on December 20, 2020, accompanied by a substantial game update (Patch 1.4). On January 26, 2022, three more DLC packs launched simultaneously: the Syndicate Navy, Colonial Navy, and Federal Navy — bringing the total to four navy DLC packs. All four DLC entries in the store listing are marked as released, and no unreleased DLC remains.
The January 26, 2022 release post noted "Stay tuned for even more content on the horizon," which was a forward-looking tease at the time. However, that was the last official developer communication, and it was made on the same day as the final content release. No subsequent announcements, roadmaps, or new DLC listings have appeared since January 26, 2022 — over four years of silence as of today (June 26, 2026). The "more content on the horizon" tease was not followed by any concrete announcement, and the extended period of silence without any follow-through strongly indicates that no further content materialized.
The developer's historical pattern shows two major content waves: December 2020 and January 2022, roughly 13 months apart. Four years have now passed since the last release without any developer communication, which far exceeds that cadence. The game appears to have reached its final content state with the January 2022 DLC releases.
Evidence
Syndicate Navy, Colonial Navy, and Federal Navy DLCs all released simultaneously on January 26, 2022. Post mentions 'stay tuned for even more content on the horizon' but no specific future content was ever announced after this date.
Last official developer communication was on January 26, 2022. No developer posts, updates, or announcements have appeared since that date.

Backstory: The galactic Empire is in a state of decay due to a severe shortage of it's most vital resource known as Tacknium. Without this resource millions of colonies will be cut off from deep space and inevitably regress to a more primitive state of being. The Empire has declared the outer rim territories a lost cause, and now every quadrant of the galaxy is preparing for war, desperate to sustain their way of life.
The archives speak of an old research project conducted at the height of the Empires prosperity. A warhead with the ability to cause a cascading subspace collapse within the center of the galaxy, and create a Tacknium deposit of unparalleled wealth. Enough to supply the galaxy for countless eons and allow for subspace jumps of previously unimaginable distances. The codename for this project was Final Theory.
The intended purpose of such a weapon was to usher in the age of intergalactic colonization, but the project was ultimately abandoned. The risk deemed too great since an uncontrolled cascade of such magnitude could prove devastating to the galaxy itself.
The Final Theory project data remains however. Located at old Imperial research stations scattered across the galaxy. Recovering this data has now become the last hope for the abandoned outer rim colonies.
As commander of a recently formed Dominion, it now falls to you to fight through these dark times and secure a future for your people. Your appointment by the Dominion high council came with but a single mandate. Ensure victory for the Dominion by any means necessary.
