Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War launched on July 12, 2018 and has received an extraordinary volume of post-launch content over nearly eight years. Proxy Studios has shipped 21 DLC packs and numerous major updates, establishing one of the most consistent content release cadences in the strategy genre — typically releasing a new unit pack every 6 months, often timed to the annual Warhammer Skulls promotional event in May and a winter release around December.
The most recent major content drop was the Eradication Pack on May 21, 2026, just 26 days before today's date. A minor patch followed on June 11, 2026. Prior to that, the Rampage Pack released on December 9, 2025, and the Onslaught Pack on May 22, 2025 — perfectly consistent with the established alternating May/December rhythm. This pattern has held across at least 8 consecutive major releases going back to 2022.
In a June 2025 patch post, the developer explicitly stated "The team is currently hard at work. We'll have news about new content soon," signaling continued development intent.
